Civil War Women: Their Roles and Legacies is a work of non-fiction written to document and illuminate the achievements and struggles of the women of the Civil War period. The author dispels the myth of feminine delicacy and incapability by profiling 50 women of the time.
The story chronicles the trials and tribulations and the solutions designed by the women of both the North and South. It characterizes the pre-war years and the changes in the women's world post-war. Parallels are drawn between the women of the Civil War and their sisters on the frontier during the same period of time, as well as our future beloved "Rosie the Riveters".
Little known achievements of Black Women, some free, some slaves, some blessed with fortunes, are presented. The story concludes with a discussion of the changes in society and the new roles of women after the war.
Performances for children are interactive. She works closely with teachers to tailor each presentation to the needs of the client school. Displays of period artifacts can be provided.

Lighthouses of the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge
The New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge is a yearly event where lighthouse enthusiasts visit all the publicly accessible lighthouses in one weekend. Contained in this book are the eleven New Jersey lighthouses of the challenge.
The information it contains goes beyond typical books on the subject of lighthouses by covering more than facts and figures. It is a compilation of the work of many people, their knowledge and talents, experts about the light they contributed to. Without the voices of the contributors to each chapter, my initial mission of trying to bring out the personalities and special stories of the lighthouses would never have been achieved. You will read about the history, keepers of the lights, stories and folklore and about visiting the lighthouse and more.
